Collaborative Works Festival: The sixth annual edition, “Myths and Legends,” presented by the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago, focuses on fantastical tales as told through several centuries of art songs. The two salon concerts will be devoted to “Schubert and the Greeks,” also fantastical storytelling by song composers ranging from Schumann to Jake Heggie. Artists include sopranos Susanna Phillips and Sarah Shafer, tenor Nicholas Phan (the institute’s co-founder), bass-baritone Douglas Williams and pianists Myra Huang and co-founder Shannon McGinniss. Phillips will present the annual solo recital on Thursday and a master class on Friday. The four-day festival begins with a salon concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Poetry Foundation, 61 W.
