It’s been a few weeks since Beyonce blessed us with a series of Instagram photos taken from the floor of a skating rink, so it’s time to take matters into your own hands. The Chicago Athletic Association is hosting a weekend of skate nights featuring sessions dedicated to Bey and the original diva, Whitney Houston, aptly titled “Queens on Wheels.”
The series will span the weekend of Sept. 8-10 with two skate seshes per night, for $20 a person and an additional $5 cash if you need to rent skates.
Friday’s sessions are from 7-9 p.m. and then 10 p.m.-midnight. Saturday starts with “Bey Skate” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and then “Whip it to Whitney” from 9:30-11:30 p.m. and Sunday kicks off from 5-7 p.m. and then 8-10 p.m.
A portion of proceeds from the weekend will be donated to the Transformative Justice Law Project, an advocacy organization for trans Illinoisans.
