Girl Pin Gang, a collective of women and gender-queer pin and patch makers, will be hosting “Witchin Weekend,” two days of events celebrating one of the most personalized wardrobe staples and the artists that create them.

An art show will be held at Sideshow Gallery (2219 N. Western Ave. 773-276-1300) on Friday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. showcasing personal artwork from the collective’s pin designers. Try your luck at a raffle and sip on cocktails while you browse original art pieces available for purchase.

On Saturday, Aug. 19 at 12 p.m., a pop-up market will be held at the Empty Bottle (1035 N. Western Ave. 773-276-3600) featuring enamel pins, patches, jewelry, accessories and apparel by 25 different vendors from all over the world.

There will also be food vendors and a live DJ. The first 50 shoppers will receive a gift bag filled with goodies. The event is 21+.
