Lollapalooza can be broken down and described by its three main elements: good music, delicious calorific food and, of course, flower crowns.
This year, you can skip buying a fake crown and head over to Travelle Kitchen + Bar in the Langham Hotel (330 N. Wabash Ave. 312-923-7705) to make your own.
A designer from Flowers for Dreams—a Chicago-based flower company crafting bouquets from organic flowers and raising money from each bouquet sold to benefit Chicago nonprofits—will teach a Lollapalooza floral crown-arranging workshop on August 2 from 6-8 p.m.
Class participants will be given all the necessary tools (and blossoms) and taught different techniques to create their own crowns for the music festival.
Chef Ricardo Jarquin from Travelle Kitchen + Bar will be providing “bites and bubbles” throughout the lesson.
Tickets for a spot in the class are $75 per person which include materials, appetizers and sparkling wine being served. Space is limited. To make a reservation call 312-923-7705 or visit travellechicago.com.
