A man died three days after being shot on Memorial Day, authorities said.
The Tribune did not report Anthony D. Galvin’s death immediately after he was pronounced dead at 6:39 p.m. June 1 at Stroger Hospital. Galvin was shot Memorial Day in the same block where he lived, the 1500 block of East 74th Street.
About 11:30 p.m. that day, three people were shot as they were standing in the 1500 block of East 74th Street in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, police said.
All three people went to Jackson Park Hospital. A 19-year-old man was shot in the head, and he was transferred in critical condition to Stroger Hospital. He later died and was identified as Galvin.

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the right elbow, and her condition was stabilized. A 21-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder, and her condition was stabilized.
On a GoFundMe Page after his killing, family members said he was a graduate of Thorton Fractional High School who had planned on attending college classes in the summer, in preparation for enrolling in college in the fall.
No one was in custody in the killing.
