Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Chicago weather is a fickle beast. We spend six months of the year praying for heat, then when it comes, will it away.

To help you get through the sweltering hot and humid days, Kizuki Ramen and Izakaya (1482 N. Milwaukee Ave.) is offering free Japanese matcha green tea soft serve ice cream on any day that hits above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Available through August 1, the free treat will be available with any purchase.

Make your summertime trip to the Wicker Park spot all about the frozen treats with shochu sake-infused gummy bears for $6 a bag or sangria ice pop available for $9 each. You can also skip the booze and opt for a non-alcoholic pop for only $4, if you so choose. Flavors include pomegranate, apple pineapple, cucumber and “mega kuwaii” featuring fresh strawberries, shochu and lime.

If you’re heading to Kizuki with a group, check out their summer combo special featuring a pitcher of Saporro beer, chicken karaage, chicken wings, tempura and edamame for $25.99.
