Two individuals were taken into custody and a third person was being sought following a police chase Tuesday night in the southwest suburbs, officials said.

The chase involved law enforcement personnel from several suburbs along with Illinois State Police, Cook County sheriff’s officers and the FBI, officials said.

The individuals were being pursued by police about 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle they were in crashed near 95th Street and Harlem Avenue near Bridgeview, though the incident did not begin in that suburb, a spokesman for Bridgeview police said.

The three tried to flee on foot but two were caught. Two weapons were recovered. It was not known if the third person was armed.

No one was injured, the spokesman said.

A spokesman for the FBI issued the following statement: “The FBI, working with our local and state law enforcement partners, is involved in an active criminal investigation. There is no further information at this time.”
