One of the take away quotes from the James Comey testimony in front of the U.S. Senate Committee was “Lordy, I hope there are tapes.” A reference to a May 12, 2017 Tweet posted by President Donald Trump saying, ” James Comey better hope there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press”. This raises several questions. Do tapes actually exist? If so, what’s on them? And, perhaps most importantly, uses the word “lordy” any more?!?
