The victim was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released, according a police report.
Officers saw Moore shooting a handgun several times, hitting the 39-year-old, according to the report. The officers then chased Moore around the corner from the shooting. They saw him throw a blue steel handgun to the ground, and saw him run into a home just south of where he discarded the gun, which turned out to be his, according to the report.
Moore ran out of the back door of the home, but was arrested as he tried to run away, according to the report and a police department news release.
