A woman and three men were shot in attacks on Chicago’s South and West sides Friday morning, according to police.

Two men were wounded shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

They were in the 1500 block of South Christiana Avenue, across the street from a primary school, when someone opened fire, police said.

A 26-year-old man was hit in the face and neck. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.

The other man, 24, was shot in the face, abdomen and arm. He also went to Mount Sinai, where he was stabilized, police said.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on the Far South Side, a woman was shot in the Roseland neighborhood, not far from the Gwendolyn Brooks Preparatory School, police said.

Police said someone walked up to the 27-year-old woman and shot at her several times in the 400 block of East 109th Street. She was hit once in the right leg and taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Around 6:50 a.m. on the South Side, a man was shot in the ankle while walking in the Chatham neighborhood, police said. The shooting occurred less than a block from Augustus Tolton Catholic Academy.

The shots came from a passing car in the 7900 block of South Eberhart Avenue, police said. The victim, 24, was hit in the left ankle and taken in good condition to Jackson Park Hospital.

Police reported no arrests.
