Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

We’re all for parents exposing their kids to this amazing city, but don’t be a jerk. Know a venue’s policies on kids before you wheel up your double stroller. To help you navigate the ins and outs of doing Chicago with a baby on your hip, we rounded up the rules to know.

Sports

United Center: For concerts, all guests including children are required to have a ticket to enter the arena. For sporting events and Feld Entertainment family shows, children under 36 inches in height do not need a ticket to enter the arena; each adult will be allowed to have one child sit on his/her lap. Strollers must be checked in at any of the guest relations booths.

Wrigley Field: Fans 2 and under are admitted to regular season Cubs games without a ticket, provided they are seated on the lap of a parent or guardian. Concert events age admittance is subject to artists’ rules.

Guaranteed Rate Field: Complimentary admission is offered to children under 36 inches in height, but it’s required that the child sit in an accompanying adult’s lap. Tickets for children taller than 36 inches are priced the same as adult tickets. Concert events age admittance is subject to artists’ rules.

Festivals

Pitchfork: All ages.

Lollapalooza: All ages. Children 10 and younger will be admitted free with a ticket-holding adult (limit two children per adult). Kidzapalooza is open 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day of the fest, offering family-friendly music and activities.
