A 64-year-old Oak Lawn woman rescued from her trailer park home died Tuesday, officials said.

Diane Lynch was pronounced dead at about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

A short time earlier, emergency personnel pulled her from the trailer at Airway Mobile Home Park located at 90th Street and Cicero Avenue in critical condition and rushed her to the hospital, said Oak Lawn Deputy Fire Chief Scott Boman.

She was the only person found by firefighters inside the trailer, Boman said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.

Neighbors said Lynch had lived with her son in the trailer, but is now staying elsewhere.

Ray Delgado, 36, said he moved into the trailer park two years ago and had seen Lynch and her son around the neighborhood. He was home in his trailer Tuesday morning when the fire ignited.

“I heard the ambulance. That’s when I went out,” Delgado said.

Smoke poured out through Lynch’s windows but flames weren’t visible from the outside, Delgado said.

On Wednesday, plywood sheets covered the windows of Lynch’s white trailer.

An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
