Chicago Bulls basketball player Dwyane Wade announced May 8 on Instagram that he is getting a new best friend.
The little French bulldog has been named Tre’ and is in puppy training, Wade notes in the post.
The pup joins the Wade pet family of dogs Bobby Hurley, Pink, Jaro and Charlie Blue, all cared for by Wade and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union. The couple has previously posted photos and videos of the dogs dressed up for Christmas.

In the Instagram post, Wade quotes his stylist Caylann Barnett by saying, “All your friends you pay for them to be your friends.” Barnett probably thinks this little guy can be a real best friend to Wade.
Wade also has human children. Zaire Blessing Dwyane Wade and Zion Malachi Airamis Wade are from his former marriage to high school girlfriend Siohvaughn Funches. He also fathered a son, Xavier Zechariah Wade, with friend Aja Metoyer. Xavier was born in November 2013.
