Urbanbelly’s second location is turning a whopping one year old next week and is celebrating with $1 dumplings and $1 passion fruit lemonade.
Swing by the Wicker Park noodle and dumpling slingin’ joint (1542 N. Damen Ave. 773-904-8606) from May 8-12 to grab your dollar dumplings—flavors include pork and cilantro, sweet potato and maple and beef and cheddar. While you’re there, test out new menu items marking the milestone, like the pork and shrimp shumai dumplings ($6.25 for four), an “Urban Bowl” including rice, salad or noodles with your choice of protein on top (starting at $6), or a broth cup of sweet chili pork or mushroom miso flavors ($3).
In addition to these new menu items and sweet deals, the Wicker Park location will also be unveiling its new patio in late May to take your dumpling dining outdoors.
The original urbanbelly location opened in Avondale in 2008 before moving that location to the West Loop (1400 W. Randolph St. 773-583-0500) in 2013. The Wicker Park location opened—you guessed it—in 2016.
