The Bears began Day 3 of the NFL draft by trading up five spots in the fourth round to select Alabama free safety Eddie Jackson.
The Bears traded their sixth-round pick to the Rams to move up. That leaves them with one more fourth-round pick and a fifth-rounder.
Jackson is known for his range in coverage and ball skills. He also returns punts. He had two punt return touchdowns in 2016 before breaking his leg in the eighth game of 2016. He began his career at Alabama as a cornerback.
