An 18-year-old Aurora man was taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, Aurora police said.
According to crash reports, Zachary Green, 18, of the 1700 block of Hazelnut Lane in Aurora, was riding his bicycle near Symphony Drive and Simms Street around 4:27 p.m. Monday when the crash occurred.
Police said Green was riding in a driveway in the 800 block of Symphony Drive when he attempted to cross the street and was struck. He said he did not see the oncoming vehicle due to a parked car.
The driver of the vehicle, a Montgomery resident, said Green did not stop at the end of the driveway and “darted” into the street, causing her to hit him with her vehicle.
Green was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. No citations were issued.
