Don’t be fooled by the name, because Eggs Inc. offers so much more than breakfast. Since 2013, the family-owned eatery at 220 S. Washington St. has been delighting area diners with a full array of menu items to satisfy cravings from early morning through late afternoon.

“We have a very loyal following here,” said restaurant manager Dimitris Perivoliotis, who also manages the Eggs, Inc. Café in Bolingbrook and Chicago. “Being in Naperville is fun and we have great customers who are very nice.”

Bring your appetite because the portions are generous. Here’s the dish on this local favorite:

What’s on the menu? Eggs, Inc. Café serves up hearty breakfast options including more than 17 different types of omelets and more than a dozen varieties of pancakes, crepes and skillets. For lunch, diners can feast on half-pound burgers, fresh sliced gyros off the spit, gourmet salads, wraps, paninis and flatbreads. They also offer gluten-free options and are happy to accommodate a customer’s dietary needs.

About the owners: Brothers Gus and Peter Vassos own Eggs, Inc. Café along with their father, Bill, who has 50 years of experience in the restaurant business.

Our mission statement: The Eggs, Inc. Cafe concept “combines old school service and professionalism with newer trends in food along with a hip ambience.”

The décor: Warm earth tones adorn the walls and a bank of windows facing Washington Street allows for plenty of natural light and the opportunity to people watch. Exposed brick, modern light fixtures and simple art on the walls make it comfortable and welcoming.

Food specialties: While there are many pancake options, the lemon blueberry stack is a big hit. Diners also rave about the half-pound Angus beef burgers that are chargrilled and served with fries, chips or fruit and a cup of homemade soup. The paninis, wraps, flatbreads and entrée salads are also popular. The “Kefi Torpedo” takes some extra time to make but is said to be worth the wait: an Angus beef patty baked inside a croissant and served with sautéed onions.

We’re different because: “We stick to traditional foods but we have a modern twist to it,” the manager said. “We use fresh ingredients, provide great customer service and make everything homemade.”

Extras: Catering and carry-out are available, and reservations are accepted during the week for small groups or business meetings.

Price range: Breakfast items such as pancakes, French toast and omelets range from around $7 to $9 as do the burgers, paninis and wraps (which come with fries, chips or fruit and a cup of soup). Gourmet salads are around $9 and smoothies are under $5.

Logistics: Eggs, Inc. Café is located at 220 S. Washington Street in downtown Naperville. It is open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, go to www.eggsincorporated.com
