A man questioned by La Grange Park police following a report of a man in a yard in the area of Ogden and Edgewood avenues was a worker in the area, and there is no threat to the community, police said.
Residents of both La Grange and La Grange Park were concerned to see police squads circling the area with their sirens on as they looked for the man Wednesday morning.
The man was taken into custody and questioned, police said, but it was determined he had the right to be in the area.
“He was a worker in the area,” La Grange Park police Chief Ed Rompa said. “He got spooked (when police responded) because he was the first one on scene, and he took off from the area.”
