With Easter just a couple weeks away, Lake County has no shortage of things to do with kids. The Easter bunny will be very busy hopping from town to town hiding eggs and taking photos. Here’s a list of places where the bunny will be on tour and hiding eggs:

Barrington

Breakfast with the Bunny & Easter Egg Hunt. April 1, Barrington Park District, 235 Lions Drive, Barrington, 9 a.m. Adults and children are welcome to join a catered breakfast, followed by an egg hunt. Advance registration is required. Registering for the breakfast will automatically register for the egg hunt. Registration is per-seat, and everyone more than a year old must register. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fox Lake/Ingleside

Egg-citing Egg Hunt and Bunny Luncheon. April 8. Hunt will be held at Veterans Park, 301 S. Route 59, Ingleside. 10:30 a.m. The Bunny Luncheon will be served at the Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department Bingo Hall, 114 Washington St., Ingleside. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Held at new locations this year, the annual event will start with an egg hunt at 10:30 a.m., with staggered start times by age, up to age 10. At the luncheon, kids will be able to take photos with the bunny and receive a goodie bag, and a basket raffle ticket. Cost is $4 per person for lunch, with kids 2 and under free. Gurnee

Easter Egg Hunt at Viking Park. April 8. Gurnee Park District Viking Park, 4374 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee. 10 a.m. for 2-3 year olds, 10:15 a.m. for 4-5 year olds, 10:30 a.m. for 6-7 year olds, 10:45 a.m. for 8-10 year olds. Cha Cha’s Egg-cellent Easter Adventure. April 8. Rainforest Cafe, 6170 W. Grand Avenue, Gurnee. 8 to 10 a.m. Reservations suggested for the breakfast buffet, egg hunt, free goodie bags and an Easter basket raffle with visits from Cha Cha and the Easter bunny. Lake Forest’s Easter Extravaganza. April 8. Deer path Community Park, 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The annual Easter egg hunt will also feature musical entertainment at 9:30, games, crafts, balloon art and photos with the bunny at 10:15 a.m.. Easter Egg Hunt. April 8. Lindenhurst Park District Forest View Park, 513 Forest View Road, Lindenhurst. 10 a.m. There will be two designated hunting areas separated by age groups. Eggs are filled with prize tickets or candy. Photo opportunities will be available with the Easter bunny, so be sure to bring a camera. Make your Own Glass Egg. April 1, 2 and 7, Peter Patterson Glassworks, 888 Tower Road, Unit E, Mundelein. Open house from 10 a..m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to create their own glass masterpiece, by selecting a color and choosing small or large egg. Dress code requires long cotton pants, such as denim with socks that cover the ankle, closed-toed shoes, and cotton shirt, with no synthetics. Reservations not required. Round Lake

Soothing Bunny. April 8. Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills. 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Designed for children with special needs, including autism, soothing bunny allows them and their families to enjoy the Easter Bunny in a more sensory-friendly environment. The first 100 children receive a stuffed animal and participate in an Easter craft. Pictures will be available for purchase.
