Kids and canines will search for goodies at the Spring Egg and Doggie Treat Hunt, 10-11 a.m. April 8 at West Park, Forestway Drive and Dundee Road, Glencoe. The drop-in event is free.

“We have four different start times,” said Erin Maassen, manager of marketing and communications for Glencoe Park District. “When the horn goes off, that age group will scramble to get as many eggs as they want, which are filled with candy and prizes. The dog ones are filled with dog treats.”

Start times are 10 a.m. for children up to age 3; 10:15 a.m. for ages 4-5; 10:30 a.m. for ages 6 and older; and 10:45 a.m. for dogs.

“The Spring Bunny will be there for pictures and we’ll have some games,” Maassen said. “It’s a chance for families to get outside and enjoy the spring. If the weather is bad, we will move it inside and the dog hunt will be cancelled.”
