An Ingleside convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night, according to a Lake County sheriff’s office statement.
A man with a semiautomatic pistol took an undisclosed amount of money from the A&N Convenience Store, 34780 Catherine St., the statement said.
“The offender ran to a waiting vehicle, where he entered the passenger side, and the vehicle fled northbound on Wilson Road,” the statement said.
The vehicle was a white Volkswagen Passat, possibly 2006 or 2007, with either black rims or no hubcaps, and the passenger side headlight was burned out, the statement added.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked by police to call the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at 847-5649-5200, or Lake County Crime Stoppers at 847-662-2222.
