Ronald D. Anderson pleaded guilty Wednesday to residential burglary for the 2016 case, as well as a 2015 burglary in which he took electrical wire from a truck sitting in a Randall Road parking lot. Anderson received 341 days of credit for time served in Kane County Jail as part of the agreement with prosecutors accepted by Kane County Judge Linda Abrahamson.
Anderson was free on bond in the 2015 case when prosecutors alleged he wore a mask while attempting to enter a garage on Cape Way in March 2016. He was initially accused of armed violence and aggravated battery, in addition to residential burglary, on allegations he charged at a homeowner who confronted him. The homeowner suffered cuts requiring medical attention. Prosecutors dropped armed violence, aggravated battery and criminal trespass to vehicle counts in the plea.
Anderson has previous arrests for driving under the influence in 2006 and retail theft in 2008, court records show.
