Police said they found shell casings in the area after a fight was reported early Saturday morning on Aurora’s East Side.
At 12:45 a.m. Saturday, police received a call of several people fighting in the street and a white, silver or gray car fleeing the scene on the 500 block of South LaSalle Street, Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said in an email.

When police arrived, they found no people and nothing apparently struck by gunfire, although they did find casings, Ferrelli said.
Police have no suspects and it’s unknown if the incident is related to shootings Friday and Sunday in the city, he said.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to any arrests.
