A Chicago man was charged with felony forgery after being arrested following a foot chase at Chicago Premium Outlets mall in Aurora.
Shaun Hatchett, 33, of Chicago, was charged with felony forgery, felony use of a fictitious identification and resisting a peace officer at 7:59 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Premium Outlets Boulevard, Aurora police said.
According to police, Hatchett used a fake identification card in an attempt to open a credit card account at a store at the outlet mall. He wanted the card to purchase jewelry at the store, and the store clerk became suspicious of Hatchett and called police, they said.
When a police officer arrived at the store, Hatchett led police on a foot chase through the mall and resisted arrest when he was caught by officers, police said.
