Five people were wounded, including two teenage boys, during shootings Friday in the city’s Roseland, Homan Square, Brainerd and Englewood neighborhoods, police said.

Two 17-year-old boys were walking about 6:50 p.m. near the 10300 block of South Corliss Avenue in Roseland when an unknown assailant approached them and fired shots.

One teen was shot in the back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition. The other teen was shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Roseland Hospital.

In other shootings:

* Police said a 27-year-old man was walking in the 6100 block of South Halsted Street about 8:54 p.m. when an unknown man approached him and fired shots.

The victim was wounded in the left knee and transported to Stroger Hospital in stable condition. No one was in custody, and police were investigating.

* A 27-year-old man was walking in the 3700 block of West Roosevelt Road about 2:30 p.m. when an assailant confronted him and fired shots, hitting him in the foot.

The 27-year-old was taken by friends to the University of Illinois Hospital, where he was treated, police said.

* A 19-year-old was shot in the thigh about 9:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of South May Street in the city’s Brainerd neighborhood, police said.

He was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

No one was in custody, and police were investigating.
