A DeKalb County judge has been assigned to the Kendall County circuit clerk’s battery case.

Judge William Brady is assigned to the matter of Circuit Clerk Robyn Ingemunson’s case, according to an order filed Thursday in Kendall County Court.

Ingemunson is charged with battery making physical contact, a criminal misdemeanor, in connection with a Dec. 21 incident at a restaurant on the 600 block of West Veterans Parkway in Yorkville, according to court records. Ingemunson, 49, of the 2300 block of Iroquois Lane in Yorkville, has been out on $150 bond.

While attending a party at the restaurant, Ingemunson was engaged in a conversation with another woman and became upset, according to police reports. With an open hand, Ingemunson is accused of pushing the side of the other woman’s head once, according to police reports.

In a letter filed last month with Kendall County circuit court, Kendall Judge Timothy J. McCann, originally the presiding judge, wrote to DeKalb County Chief Judge Robbin J. Stuckert, asking for a DeKalb judge to hear Ingemunson’s case instead.

“It is my opinion, as Presiding Judge of Kendall County, that this matter should not be heard by any judge currently sitting in Kendall County,” McCann wrote.

Brady’s office did not immediately return a request for information Friday morning, but it appears he will travel to Kendall County for the proceedings, as Ingemunson is next to appear at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 16 in Room 114A of the Kendall County courthouse in Yorkville, according to Kendall County court records.
