The Knights of Columbus Hampshire Council 13034 recently sponsored a free throw competition at Dumoulin Farms in Hampshire.

Children ages 9 to 14 were eligible to participate in the event. A total of 13 local area students competed.

Wilson Wernhoff and Julian Silva of Pingree Grove and Hampshire residents Ben Dumoulin, Matt Dumoulin, Mary Goad, Jessie Dumoulin and Gianna Farinelli were all named free throw champions.

The Knights have announced that “each winner will compete in the district competition on Sunday, Feb. 19, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School gym, 288 East Jefferson Ave. in Hampshire. The gym will be open at noon for registration and practice. The competition will begin at 12:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Proof of age, such as a birth certificate, is required and must accompany a district winner’s entry form for competition at the next regional level.”
