A Flossmoor woman recently won $2 million after scratching two winning instant Lottery tickets in one day.
Marla Gordon told officials at the Illinois Lottery she plans to pay bills, invest her winnings and take a Hawaiian vacation.
According to lottery officials, Gordon bought the $2 million Merry Millionaire ticket after using $20 she won from a $2 instant ticket she had just bought. She chose to take the one-time lump sum of $1.2 million.
Gordon bought the winning tickets at Golo, 450 Cicero Ave., in University Park, according to lottery officials.
“I started shaking and crying right there in the middle of the store,” Gordon told lottery officials.
The Golo location will receive one percent of the prize money, or $20,000, for selling the winning ticket, according to lottery officials.
