Lake Forest firefighters prepared and served chili to seniors at Dickinson Hall in Lake Forest on Jan. 19.

“We do a lot of community events,” said Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Cronin. “A corn roast at homecoming games. We cook hamburgers at some of the football games.”

Cronin laughed when asked if firefighters would be preparing Five-Alarm Chili.

“Not for the senior center,” Cronin said. “It will be chili that everyone can enjoy.”
