Felony charges have been filed against an 18-year-old Bristol man and 17-year-old Aurora boy after police confiscated three loaded guns during a traffic stop, Aurora police said Tuesday.

At about 10:15 p.m. Friday, police saw the driver of a 2005 Jeep Cherokee fail to use his turn signal while changing lanes near West Galena Boulevard and North Highland Avenue, police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said in an email.

An officer pulled the Jeep over on Galena just west of Lake Street, Ferrelli said.

Police said they found Terrence T. Mading, 18, of the first block of North Cannonball Trail, Bristol, with marijuana, Ferrelli said.

When police searched the car, they found and seized three loaded guns — two .380 automatics and a .22 revolver – underneath the rear seat where Mading and the 17-year-old from Aurora were sitting, Ferrelli said.

The 17-year-old was charged with four counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and taken to the youth home, Ferrelli said.

Mading was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle involving a loaded firearm without a concealed carry permit, a class 2 felony, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon without a FOID card, a class 4 felony, according to Kane County court records. He was released from the county jail on $400 bond.

The driver, a 22-year-old Oswego man, and a front seat passenger, a 20-year-old man from Bristol, were released without charges, Ferrelli said.

Mading is next to appear in court at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 in Kane County court and has been appointed a public defender, according to county court records.

Mading was already scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Feb. 22 in Room 113 of the Kendall County courthouse on November 2016 charges of manufacture or delivery of between 10 and 30 grams of marijuana, a class 4 felony, and possession of between 30 and 100 grams of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor. He posted $750 bond on those charges in November, according to Kendall County court records.
