A $1,000 donation from Dr. Jennifer Schening of Next Generation Pediatrics in South Elgin will be used to purchase sound equipment for a play at Prairie Knolls Middle School in Elgin.
“The wireless microphones will be used for the play Willy Wonka Jr. in March,” said Principal Matthew Haug.
The donation was recently approved by the Community Unit School District 301 board.
Board member Laura Rabe, chairman of the 301 Central Education Foundation, said Schening has been a supporter of the foundation.
