Randal Perlman pleaded guilty to a single count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and must register as a sex offender for life, prosecutors said.
She was arrested last year after the teen reported the criminal behavior, Assistant State’s Attorney Denise Loiterstein said.
Beginning in August 2015, Perlman would pick the boy up near his home and drive him to parks and cemeteries in the Elgin area to have sex, Loiterstein said. Perlman sent the boy nude photos of herself on Instagram, and he sent back nude photos of himself, the prosecutor said.
During Tuesday’s hearing in Rolling Meadows branch court, Perlman told Judge Marc Martin that she felt she had been treated unfairly.
“I don’t believe I deserve such harsh punishment,” Perlman said.
Martin told her she had a previous conviction for conduct with the same victim, which was an aggravating factor. He noted that he could have sentenced Perlman to seven years rather than four.
At the time of her arrest, Perlman was on probation in Kane County for providing marijuana to the same boy, prosecutors said.
Perlman will have to serve at least 50 percent of the sentence.
