Police are asking for information on two shootings that occurred Dec. 26.

The first, at 4:20 a.m. on the 200 block of Evans Avenue, damaged a home and a vehicle, according to police. Occupants of the home heard loud noises and police received some 911 calls for shots fired, but the callers all gave different locations, according to an email from police spokesman Dan Ferrelli.

When the residents went outside around 10 a.m., they noticed their vehicle and the side of their home had been struck by gunfire, Ferrelli said. Damage is estimated at $600 and no injuries were reported, Ferrelli said.

Later, at 2:50 p.m., shots were heard on the 1000 block of Cascade, Ferrelli said. Nothing was hit but shell casings were found, Ferrelli said. No one reported seeing anything, he said.

Police ask anyone with information to call Aurora police investigators at 630-256-5500 or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to any arrests.
