Batavia police are investigating what they called a “suspicious death” of a 21-year-old woman and said Saturday they are seeking her husband as a “person of interest.”

Caitlyn P. Neiswanger was found at 7:52 a.m. Friday in a home in the 1100 block of Rye Court, according to a police department news release. She was taken to Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, where she was pronounced dead, according to Kane County Coroner Rob Russell. Neiswanger had no signs of external injury, and her cause of death is pending toxicology results, Russell said.

Police said “some type of dispute may have taken place” between Neiswanger and her 23-year-old husband, Michael J. Marlovitz, 23, of Glen Ellyn, who left the residence before emergency personnel arrived, according to the news release.

Marlovitz took the woman’s SUV — a white 2006 Honda Pilot — and several other undisclosed items, according to police.

Police said the husband is a person of interest in the investigation and that his whereabouts is unknown.

Police ask anyone who sees Marlovitz, or a vehicle with Illinois plate Q388986, to contact the department at 630-454-2500. The husband is described as 6-feet-1 and 195 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police did not say how the woman died or who found her.
