An aggravated robbery at a St. Charles 7-Eleven cost the convenience store an undisclosed amount of cash, but did not result in any injuries, according to police.

At 7:33 p.m. Saturday, St. Charles police officers responded to the store on the 1700 block of West Main Street for the robbery, according to a news release sent Tuesday by the police department.

A lone offender, described as an adult wearing a black winter jacket, gloves and a “winter type face mask,” implied having a weapon but did not show one, according to the news release. The person fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the news release.

Officers with the help of police dogs from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office and Aurora Police Department searched the area, but did not find the suspect, according to the news release.

St. Charles police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the department. A “cash reward” is offered for information leading to the arrest of the offender, according to police.
