Paul Janeczek, a sophomore at Ridgewood High School, was hanging out in the school gym with friends Nov. 30 after enjoying an after-school event celebrating Italian language and culture, Festa Italiana. Janeczek shared his favorite season and reveals his lack of interest in Black Friday shopping with the Pioneer Press.

Q: Where do you live? How long have you lived there?

A: Norridge, lived here for six years.

Q: What do you like about living in Norridge?

A: Everything.

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: Chicago.

Q: Did you shop for any good deals on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

A: No.

Q: What’s your all-time favorite store?

A: Best Buy.

Q: How does your family celebrate the holidays?

A: The whole family gets together.

Q: Any favorite holiday traditions?

A: Opening presents.

Q: What’s your favorite month and why?

A: December because it’s Christmas time.

Q: Favorite animal and why?

A: Cheetah because it’s fast.

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

A: Pork.
