And thanks to YouTube, they’ve rounded up a list of the top 10 trending videos of the year (aka the videos we were all obsessed with in 2016).
It probably comes as no surprise that the biggest viral hit of 2016 was Adele’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment for the “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” which garnered more than 135 million views. Because Adele.
Other trending videos that made the cut include Grace VanderWaal’s golden buzzer moment on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Channing Tatum’s “Lip Sync Battle” face-off against his wife and a clip of John Oliver talking about Donald Trump.
YouTube’s top-trending videos aren’t necessarily the most viewed overall on the media platform, but instead are based on the number of views, shares, comments, likes and more.
