A 21-year-old Aurora man has been charged with burglary after an off-duty Aurora Police Department sergeant said he saw him pulling on vehicle door handles on the 200 block of East Indian Trail Road.
Nicholas Rivera, 21, of the 100 block of North Kendall Avenue, was charged after the sergeant directed officers to the area at about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said in an email.
Patrol officers located Rivera around Mitchell and Indian Trail Road with electronics and loose change which they believe are tied to a vehicle burglary in the area, Ferrelli said.
Rivera was booked into Kane County Jail Thursday, with bail set at $35,000, according to the jail’s online detainee records.
