An Aurora teen is charged with carrying a loaded air gun inside one of the area’s biggest shopping malls.

At 5:50 p.m. Saturday, a Fox Valley Center security officer told an Aurora police officer that a customer had reported seeing a teen boy with a gun in a lower level, common area, Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said in an email.

The Aurora officer found the teen, who had a loaded BB gun in one of his jacket pockets, Ferrelli said.

Jimmie Jordan Washington, 18, of the 4300 block of Bayhead Court, was charged with unlawful possession of an air gun, a local ordinance violation, and released to a parent, Ferrelli said.
