Carl Palmisano, president of the Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days committee, presented a check recently for $2,000 to Ken Madden, director of The Salvation Army Golden Diners.

The Golden Diners program provides nutritious meals for people over age 60 who are homebound or unable to shop and prepare meals for themselves, according to the program’s website.

Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days is the village’s annual festival that is usually held during the first week of August. Next year will mark the festival’s 35th anniversary, according to committee members.
