Women who practice what they preach will headline an upcoming event in Oak Forest.

The Chicagoland Speakers Network offers the Women Inspiring Success Event, WISE 2016, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p. m. Oct. 13, at South Suburban College, 16333 Kilbourn Ave., Oak Forest.

Lori Klinka, a faculty member at Columbia College Chicago, will give one of six programs at the event. Her session is called “Snapshots to Success: Living One Frame at a Time.”

“We’re not just talking about it,” she said of the programs. “We’re doing whatever we’re talking about. We’re professionals.”

Joining Klinka will be licensed dietitian Erin Dubich on “Cultivating Radiance Inside and Out”; professional organizer Colleen Klimczak on “Strategies for Clarity and Focus”; attorney Sonia Coleman on “Fundamentals of Financial Management”; artist Starla Sneed on “Creativity is a Choice”; and massage therapist Sabrina Schottenhamel on “Mindful Self-care: Me TLC.”

“We really tried to go with … wide coverage — your legal, your health, your motivation,” Klinka said. “There’s something for everybody.”

She said the event has changed from previous years, and sessions will be held consecutively rather than in breakout format.

“You get to see all of the speakers and get all of the knowledge. You don’t have to choose,” Klinka said.

Another new feature for the event this year is door prizes, she said, including gift baskets, gift cards and a free massage.

Erin Dubich, president of the Chicagoland Speakers Network, which organizes the event annually, said the group’s planners are “excited to offer an empowering and educational day while making sure it’s fun for everyone.”

“Any woman looking for more success and less stress will love the inspiration and fun planned for WISE 2016,” she said.

The event begins with check-in and a light breakfast will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tickets are $69 prior to the event and $75 at the door. Breakfast and lunch are included in the price of the ticket.
