
Hampshire High School students gathered in the gym on Friday afternoon to celebrate Homecoming Week and cheer on the Hampshire High Whip-Purs before their game against the Crystal Lake South Gators.
The pep rally featured music by the Hampshire High band, cheer and dance team routines, a spaghetti eating contest, and acknowledgment of state track qualifiers and softball regional winners from last spring.
According to Hampshire High officials, the 2016 homecoming king and queen are Jared Hornbeck and Alexis McMullen.
Their attendants are: Devon Day and Isabella Kay, freshmen; Trevor Laffin and Delaney Rummell, sophomores; Cameron Fleury and Macie Dalby, juniors, and Danny Tuzek and Alexandra Scores, seniors.
