Three teens have been charged in connection with burglaries to motor vehicles in La Grange.
The boys, ages 14, 15 and 16, all from Chicago, have been charged with theft of motor vehicle, vehicle theft conspiracy and trespassing to a motor vehicle.
The car burglaries occurred Wednesday night on Catherine Avenue.
At about 2:15 a.m., a resident of the 600 block of South Catherine Avenue called police to report a suspicious incident in progress.
According to police, the resident told them there were three juveniles looking inside a neighbor’s vehicle.
Police responded and found the three boys a block away. Officers determined that several other nearby vehicles had been illegally entered and ransacked. An attempt had also been made to steal one of the vehicles, police said.

The three will be petitioned to juvenile court, police said.
