Jackie Frankowiak, co-owner of Lovin’ Tails, which makes dog foods and treats, talked while selling her wares at the La Grange Farmers Market.

Q: Where do you live?

A: Berwyn

Q: What does Lovin’ Tails sell?

A: Homemade, gourmet dog food and treats

Q:How long has your company been in business?

A: 11 years

Q: What are your future plans?

A: We hopefully will get a store in the next two years.

Q: What is your role in the company?

A: I sell them. My partner, Julie Jurish, makes them.

Q: Why types of food and treats does she make?

A: She makes a large variety. For St. Patrick’s Day, she made a corn beef on rye (snack). For Thanksgiving, she made a turkey and stuffing.

Q: What do you like about selling at the farmers market?

A: We just love dealing with the dogs and visiting with their people. We get to commiserating with them. I’ve talked to people who’ve lost their pet. I’ve hugged people.

Q: Do you have a dog?

A: Yes. A Stafford Terrier named Keela.

Q: What is your favorite color?

A: I don’t know if I have a favorite. I guess it’s orange or coral. I like coral.

Q: What super power would you like to have?

A: I’d like to clone myself so I could be in more than one place at a time.

Q: Do you have any vacations planned?

A: My niece is getting married in October in Phoenix so that’s where I am going for a long weekend.

Q: What is your pet peeve?

A: People who don’t clean up after their dogs or who are abusive to them.
