Central Community Unit School District 301 has announced that Brian Tobin will serve as its new director of technology.
Tobin replaces Matt Smith, who recently became the executive director of technology services at Community Unit School District 303.
Tobin said that he worked for DeKalb School District 428 for 16 years and served as the district’s chief technology officer for 15 years.
“I’m excited to be here at District 301,” said Tobin. “I have heard nothing but good things about the district’s schools and staff. There is a lot of growth in this area. I’m glad to be a part of it.”
During the District 301 board meeting this week, Superintendent Todd Stirn said that student enrollment this year compared to last year has increased by 233 students.
“Growth is not slowing down in our district,” Stirn said.
