Kudos to those who helped plan and prepare the successful 2016 Buffalo Grove Days celebration, which was held at a new location at 951 McHenry Road.
A Facebook page called “Buffalo Grove Days 2016” encourages people to give their comments about how the event was run this year, including the new location.
Many wrote that they liked the new location and felt that it was safer being away from Lake Cook Road. There were some debate about the omission of fireworks and the pancake breakfast this year, while most people seemed to feel there needs to be an improvement to the Porta Pottys for next year.
All in all, the responses have been good — a true testament to the amount of hard work the volunteers gave to our community.
RE/MAX real estate agent Karen Danenberg, a Buffalo Grove resident, was one of the festival planners who shared her thoughts about BG Days this year.
“After 18 months of planning for the move to the Buffalo Grove Days new location, this weekend brought the most attendance ever,” she said. “With the help of police, fire and public works department, our volunteers felt all the planning and hours paid off with a great weekend for all that attended.”
A big thank you goes out to all of the hard-working volunteers who gave their time and effort to this great Labor Day celebration.
