If you’ve ever wanted to snuggle up to a naked George W. Bush—or Anna Wintour or Rihanna or Bill Cosby or Chris Brown or Kim Kardashian or, most famously, Taylor Swift—you might be able one day live out that dream. If you have a few million dollars.
The sculpture from Kanye West’s controversial “Famous” music video was on display at a Los Angeles gallery over the weekend, with the likeness of a dozen famous names naked in bed together.
According to the New York Times, gallery owner Tim Blum claims the sculpture could go for as much as $4 million for the life-like figures (that apparently “breathe”) and the bedspread tangled around them—if West ever agrees to sell it. Rolling Stone initially reported the gallery was attempting to sell it, but a representative for West said that isn’t the case.
L.A.-based artist Aaron Axelrod calculated the cost to make the sculpture between $500,000 and $1 million. He told the Times that the sculpture was “one of the coolest pieces [he’s] ever seen, which is kind of annoying because it’s Kanye West.” We feel you, dude.
