A Wilmette man charged in February with sexual assault of a minor has now been charged with possession of child pornography, which police say they found on the man’s electronic items while investigating the earlier case.

Wilmette police arrested Edmund H. Glueck, 50, of the 100 block of Woodbine Avenue on Aug. 23. His bail was set at $250,000 during an Aug. 24 bond hearing in Cook County Court, Skokie, and he is scheduled to appear next in court on the pornography charge on Sept. 13, a spokeswoman for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office said Friday.

Glueck is also scheduled to appear Sept. 1 in Skokie court on the earlier case, the spokeswoman said. He was charged on Feb. 10 of this year with criminal predatory sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, that Wilmette police said in February involved a child between the age of 11 and 13.

At the time, police reported that the child Glueck allegedly assaulted was the child of a family with which he was friends.

Wilmette Police Chief Brian King said Aug. 26 that investigators only recently received results back from a computer forensic lab search of Glueck’s electronic items, including his computer, taken after investigators got a warrant to search his home while they were investigating the sexual assault case. The laboratory search allegedly found multiple images of girls under the age of 13 on his computer, King said.
