If a fast-food joint opens in Boston, will we hear its burgers sizzle? If you’re at any Chicago Shake Shack this morning, the answer is a likely yes.
Shake Shack — the Danny Meyer-helmed burger chain that’s the House of Capulet to In-N-Out’s House of Montague — is celebrating the opening of its 100th location (in Boston’s Seaport) by doling out 100 free burgers at Shack locations worldwide.
For Chicago fans, that means lining up today at Shake Shack in River North, at the Chicago Athletic Association or in Old Orchard in Skokie. When doors open at 10:30am, the first 100 customers at each location will receive a free single ShackBurger.
Come by at lunch and you’ll be sadly disappointed — the promotion runs only until noon, or while supplies last.
River North: 66 E. Ohio St.
Chicago Athletic Association: 12 S. Michigan Ave.
Westfield Old Orchard: 4905 Old Orchard Shop Center East Ring Road, Skokie
