“American Horror Story” is coming to Universal Orlando’s annual Halloween event.

Halloween Horror Nights will feature a maze based on the FX television series. Universal Studios Hollywood’s HHN event will have an “American Horror Story” maze as well.

Scenes featured will include Murder House from Installment 1, Twisty the Clown and a collection of tortured freak show performers from Installment 4, and the Hotel Cortez, conceived originally as a torture chamber, from Installment 5.

An anthology that combines violence and camp, “American Horror Story” has featured performers including Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Lady Gaga. The show’s awards include 13 Emmys and two Golden Globes.

The latest installment starts Sept. 14, two days before Halloween Horror Nights begins.

In a press release, Universal Orlando’s director of entertainment creative development Michael Aiello called the show “a perfect fit for Halloween Horror Nights.”

Halloween Horror Nights, a nighttime event, transforms Universal Studios Florida into a mix of haunted mazes and scare zones haunted by creepy characters. Universal bases its mazes both on horror franchises or films and new concepts dreamed up specifically by its own creative team. This year’s event will run through Oct. 31. Prices vary according to the night.

The base, one-night admission to HHN26 will be $104.99, up from last year’s $101.99. But there are offers available to Florida residents and Universal Orlando’s annual passholders that will undercut that price, as well as multinight and hotel packages.
